The Event Center is a multi-use facility on the UCSB campus. Nicknamed "The Thunderdome", the UCSB ECen plays host to basketball, volleyball, intramural sports, physical activities classes, concerts, and other special events. The work can be varied and fun.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The ECen crew are the supporting staff for all events within the Event Center and are responsible for daily set-up and take down of equipment used. Crew members are responsible for clean-up following events including custodial duties such as trash collection, restroom and locker room clean-up, dust-mopping, wt-mopping, and sweeping.
Qualifications
Must be able to interact professionally with a diverse group of people, including students, staff, faculty, and visitors and be able to adjust to situations as they arise. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
Schedule
This position is staffed around school schedules between 6:00 am and 2:00am, seven days a week. An ECen crew member must be a registered, full-time student and may work up to 20 hours per week. Crew members will be required to work a shared load of early morning, late night, and weekend shifts.
