Job Description

Hub Event Staff work under the supervision of the Senior Events Coordinator and Assistant Hub Manager. As representatives of UCen Administration, staff is expected to ensure UCen policies and procedures are adhered to for the security, safety, and appearance of the Hub.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Hub Event Staff work under the supervision of the SR Events Coordinator and Hub Assistant Manager as representatives of UCen Administration in order to:

  1. Ensure that UCen policies and procedures are adhered to

  2. Maintain security, safety, and appearance of the Hub

  3. Serve as UCen Emergency Coordinators

  4. Work building sponsored events

  5. Move furniture as needed

  6. Lock building after performers and groups leave

  7. Know how to set up, run and put away lightboards as well as lighting presets

  8. Note condition of Hub and Dressing rooms after an event, take pictures if exceptionally dirty

  9. Trouble shoot at events (breakers)

  10. Event clean up (spills, vomit)

  11. Complete any set up tasks not done (tables, vacuum, trash, table set up)

  12. Post hub banners and posters (and take down after events)

  13. Tabling for large events

  14. Prize give aways during events

  15. Supervise events if SR Events Coordinator or Hub Assistant Manager are not available

  16. Write an event report at conclusion of shift

  17. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The Hub Event Staff are expected to be dependable, responsible, cooperative, self-motivated and willing to strive for excellence. You should be able to lift a max of 50 lbs. Student employee is responsible for maintaining and approving their electronic timecard each pay period.

Position starts ASAP. Must be available for an interview beginning immediately. Original forms of ID are required

Schedule

This position is present during all Hub and other building wide sponsored events. Shift hours vary but could be from 6:00pm-2:00am. Students may work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks. You must be available nights and weekends.
